For many former foster youth in San Diego, My First Home is the first touchpoint to the Just in Time community. Youth like Gia, who might not have the resources to furnish their living spaces, are invited to “shop” a wide selection of new and used donated items to create safe and comfortable living spaces. They are also introduced to lived-experience staff who can relate, first-hand, to the challenges they face.
