Did You Know?
Our 2021 Pathways to Financial Power conference is coming up this Saturday, September 18! This year’s theme is “Empower State of Mind” and volunteers, community leaders, and employers are coming together to empower and inspire 40 JIT participants to achieve their personal, professional, and financial goals.
This year’s conference at Junior Achievement of San Diego County will feature keynote speaker Allen Maxwell, President & CEO of Omni2Max; kick-off speaker, San Diego County Supervisor Nora Vargas; professional head shots; a Career/Passion exploration fair with over 20 ready-to-hire employers; networking opportunities; and our fourth annual JIT Shark Tank competition, where three aspiring young entrepreneurs will face off for a $3,000 investment in their business idea!
Meet Our Finalists
This year, 14 hopeful JIT participants submitted business ideas for our fourth annual JIT Shark Tank competition. Six semifinalists were chosen to work with coaches, all professionals from around San Diego, to develop their ideas into actionable business plans. Those six business plans were reviewed blindly by our JIT Shark Tank Review Committee, which selected a top three. Meet our finalists below, who will be presenting their business pitches live at this Saturday’s Pathways to Financial Power Conference for a chance at the grand prize of a $3,000 investment in their idea! We’ll share our winner in next week’s Wrap-Up!
