A Peek Inside JIT’s Pathways to Financial Power Conference!
Ready, Set, Grow! Each year, Just in Time’s Pathways to Financial Power Conference brings together more than 100 youth, volunteers, and investors for an afternoon of networking, job sourcing and professional empowerment. Special highlights from the event included Keynote Speaker Maya Madsen, CEO of Maya’s Cookies, who shared both her foster care and entrepreneurial journeys.
“Expect the unexpected. Trust your gut. And know you will succeed because you have already overcome so many obstacles and challenges. You ARE resilient.”
The main event was our 6th annual Shark Tank, an electrifying and impassioned competition among three aspiring entrepreneurs, each vying for the opportunity to win $3,000 worth of seed money for their fledgling businesses.
Ultimately, it was JIT participant Gabrielle Wesley who walked away with the 1st place prize for her small business Gabbiez Goodiez! (Watch her reaction here)
