Gratitude Is An Attitude!
It Takes a Community to Empower Life Changing Choices
Just in Time is grateful for the people and organizations that strengthen our community and propel our mission forward!
Each year, hundreds of community volunteers step up to coach youth, facilitate workshops and support JIT events. Their efforts are a true demonstration of what it means to be a part of a Reliable, Responsive and Real community.
Recently, JIT hosted our annual Volunteer Services Luncheon to honor outstanding volunteers within the JIT community! In addition to lunch, Volunteers were gifted special gratitude boxes with potted succulents.
Afterward, in the JIT HUB, we gathered our Volunteer Services Team for a photo shoot that they clearly did not enjoy, as you can tell from these behind-the-scenes photos. At Just in Time, we are always looking for ways to share the love, so if you are one of our awesome volunteers, expect something special in your inbox soon!
“In the San Diego Kiwanis Club Foundation’s quest to fund impactful, youth-focused non-profits, Just in Time represents a perfect match.”
Gordon Boerner, SD Kiwanis Club 1st Vice President, JIT Board Member and Senior Vice President, Western US Regional Banking Manager at US Bank.
Recently Kiwanis Club San Diego Awarded Just in Time with a $10,000 grant to stabilize housing for insecure youth within the Just in Time community. Funds from this grant will provide a safety net of care for former foster youth struggling to pay rent, utilities and housing deposits in San Diego’s challenging housing market.
Thank you, Gordon, for ALL your support and advocacy on behalf of Just in Time and the youth we serve!
We were also recently awarded a $90,000 grant from Andrus Family Fund. Since 2015, the Andrus Family Fund has been a significant JIT partner. Our shared commitment to increased opportunity and equity for marginalized communities brought us together for collective impact. Our partnership has always been more than about financial support. It’s also been about changing mental models for lasting social impact.
About the Andrus Family Fund: “The Andrus Family Fund seeks to foster just and sustainable change in the United States. We support organizations that advance social justice and improve outcomes for vulnerable youth.”
Thank you Kiwanis San Diego and Andrus Family Fund!
