Guardian Scholars Take a Field Trip to the Just in Time Office
Providing Connections and Community to Get Through College
San Diego State University’s Guardian Scholars program is a critical connector for transition age foster youth seeking JIT services. In fact, Guardian Scholar Assistant Program Coordinator, Marie Brañes is a JIT alumni who utilized College Bound to help her get both her undergrad and master’s degrees.

Last week, she and fellow Guardian Scholars staff brought a new group of scholars to the JIT office to learn about all the ways that JIT can support them as the work towards their degrees, including with housing resources, transportations services and financial literacy courses.
Just in Time provides not just essential and emergency resources like laptops, printers, rent, food and transportation assistance to scholars within our community, we connect them to coaches and lived-experience peers to encourage and inspire them to the finish line!
We’re thrilled to invite you to an event that promises thrills, chills, and a whole lot of community fun: the JIT Halloween Spooktacular! ????️????
When: Saturday, October 28th, from 4 to 8 pm
This is an event for everyone in the family. Here’s a sneak peek of what we have in store:
Haunted Office Maze:
Join us for our first-ever haunted office maze. It’s designed to give you goosebumps and a thrilling adventure.
Trick-or-Treat Lane:
For the little ones, we’ve got a dedicated trick-or-treat lane where they can fill their bags with goodies.
Halloween Costume Contest:
Don’t forget to put on your spookiest or most creative costume! We’ll be hosting a Halloween costume contest with great prizes.
