JIT Radio: Stories from the Community
A channel dedicated to empowered storytelling and meaningful conversation
Conceptualized in 2023 by lived-experience staff member Omar Chavez, the podcast serves as an outlet for youth to share stories, give advice to one another, and discuss their goals related to education, work, parenting, and more.
To-date, JIT Radio has published 9 episodes on YouTube and featured dozens of participants. Not only is the podcast a great way for youth to connect with their peers, it’s an opportunity for those interested in media arts to try their hand at producing, interviewing, and empowered storytelling on a digital platform.
