Just in Time Summer Blast at Mission Bay
Celebrating Community, Connection, and Fun in the Sun
The Just in Time annual Summer Blast served up a sun -soaked afternoon of fun, family, and friendship at Crown Point, Mission Bay, last Friday.
Nearly 200 JIT community members – participants, alumni, volunteers, and their families joined the party.
Giant Jenga, cornhole and tug of war – community building was the order of the day. For current and past participants, many of whom brought their kids, this was a multi-generational event.
Carne asada and adobada sizzled on the grill outside Chula’s taco truck where attendees walked away with plates piled high with tacos and mulitas.
Eating lunch from picnic blankets and beach chairs in full view of the bay was a high-level summer vibe.
This was Just in Time’s third Summer Blast held at Crown Point – another star in the cap of Community Connection Coordinator Monica Reyes, who took the lead on organizing the event.
After lunch, attendees took a swing at the pinata and wrapped up the party with a raffle where participants had the chance to win Padres tickets, Magic Mountain tickets, and a brand new 50 inch flatscreen T.V.!
