Community Partners Make Holiday Magic for JIT Youth
What’s On Your Wishlist?
What’s on your holiday wish list? It’s a simple question that some of our participants never get asked.
This year, with the help of community partners like Church at Rancho Bernardo and Life Science Cares, more than 9 individual youth and 2 young families were able to submit their holiday wish lists and have them answered!
Karo and Kenia – two young moms within the JIT community – had their family holiday requests answered by our generous partners Church at Rancho Bernardo.
Karo sent us a video of her daughter opening one of her gifts and exclaiming “I love it!” before even seeing what the gift is! Now, that’s gratitude!
“This year, I didn’t feel the Christmas spirit and did not have funds to do anything special for my two year old daughter,” Karo said, “But like a miracle Just in Time and Church at Rancho Bernardo stepped in with countless blessings for us. They gifted us a gorgeous tree, with lots of presents, giving me the opportunity to allow my daughter to have a childhood I once yearned for.” ~ Karo, Just in Time participant
Making Spirits Bright for 9 Youth
Under the umbrella of JIT’s Collaborative Partner, Life Science Cares, Boundless Bio (Pictured, Left) and Alterome Therapeutics fulfilled holiday Wish Lists for 9 JIT participants.
The participants’ wish lists reflected not just their wants, but their needs, from practical items, like toilet paper and paper towels, to items related to their passions and hobbies, fitness accessories and karaoke mics.
