Just in Time for Foster Youth invites you to join our caring community as a sponsor of the JIT services that empower San Diego’s transition age foster youth to find their Sweet Spot for Success. These services include Career Horizons for Young Women, Bridges to Success for Young Men, Financial Fitness, NEXTJobs and JobsNOW, Changing Lanes (Affordable Transportation), and Pathways to Financial Power.

Every year, hundreds of young people leave a System they were placed in because of circumstances beyond their control, too often feeling unsure, unprepared, and disconnected. Is it any wonder that outcomes have been discouraging for youth leaving foster care after 18 without the benefit of an extended family?

A crisis like the coronavirus pandemic creates even greater inequities for foster youth who are experiencing anxiety and isolation brought on by disruptions in education, loss of employment and income, and significant food and housing insecurities.

Your sponsorship supports young people in San Diego ages 18-26 with the safety net, resources, and relationships that every young adult needs to survive and thrive. This includes: access to career preparation and networks for first jobs, work readiness skills, effective resumes, interview skills and elevator pitches, maximizing one’s strengths, and managing finances; attaining affordable loans; housing stability; reliable transportation; professional attire; and building a network for success.

Sweet Spot for Success Sponsorships are 100% tax-deductible and will be recognized by Del Mar Highlands Town Center in promotions for the grand opening of its extraordinary new Sky Deck on Thursday, February 11, 2021, which will be an exclusive evening of food, cocktails, and entertainment to benefit Just in Time and other youth empowerment organizations, including Junior Achievement of San Diego County. There will be media exposure and our sponsors will be issued invitations to the Sky Deck event, which is being funded entirely by the Del Mar Highlands Town Center.
