Just in Time is beyond grateful to be the recipient of a $45,000 grant from Del Mar Highland Towns Center. The grant will provide laptops, printers, school supplies, and, most importantly, supportive relationships to more than 150 College Bound youth in the JIT community this year.
For youth who have been impacted by foster care, only 10% enroll in college and less than 6% graduate. JIT is challenging those statistics having served over 850 College Bound participants with a consistent success rate of 77%. In addition, JIT has awarded scholarships for advanced degrees to over 52 scholars with a 100% graduation rate.
“First Washington Realty’s commitment to enhancing the lives of transition-age foster youth through Just in Time for Foster Youth aligns with our belief in creating positive change in the communities where we live and operate. By supporting their college journey, we hope to contribute to the development of resilient, empowered individuals who will go on to make a lasting impact in their communities.”
