JIT Community Comes Together for College Bound Day 2

A Day of Connection & Inspiration

Nearly 150 participants, volunteers and guests gathered on College Bound Day 2 for an empowering and inspirational event. Our 2024 College Bound scholars had the opportunity to connect one on one with their volunteer coaches who will be by their side to support and guide them during their educational journey. Thanks to the generosity of Managed Solution, each of our 39 College Bound participants receives a laptop and printer. They also receive a backpack stocked with supplies and a gift card to Walmart to shop for their dorm.

During the event, our 2024 College Bound graduates and 23 Master Your Dream scholarship recipients were also honored. This year, thanks to the investment of key supporters, we were able to increase the Master Your Dream scholarship from $2,000 to $5,000 creating even more stability for JIT youth engaged in Masters, Law and PHD programs.

The day’s inspirational speakers included Master Your Dream scholar Nyla Vivas who shared that the connections and financial support she received from Just in Time made all the difference on her journey to achieve her educational dreams. Nyla will soon graduate with her Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Trauma Informed Counseling and Restorative Justice Practices. Congratulations to Nyla and to ALL the scholars in our Just in Time community.
