Youth and Coaches launch a journey of self-exploration and personal development
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together” – African Proverb
Just in Time had a full house for the My Life, My Story Kickoff last week.
More than 50 participants and volunteers converged for a day of “speed connecting” (like speed dating, but pairing coaches and youth), rock painting, video games, and honest discussions about goals setting, fear and challenges.
The My Life, My Story kickoff marks the first day of meaningful relationship building for the male and female cohorts which run annually from April to November.
The intention of My Life, My Story is to provide individualized attention to personal growth, empowering youth to take ownership of their life stories and to focus on their strengths, maximizing their potential.
If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a volunteer coach for My Life, My Story, please contact Just in Time’s Volunteer Services team: volunteer@jitfosteryouth.org
