Gabbiez Goodiez a small business journey 

When Gabbie took the stage at last year’s Pathways to Financial Power Shark Tank competition, she was filled with excitement and determination. It was an opportunity to win critical funding for her small business Gabbiez Goodiez.  

For Gabbie, crafting sweets began in 2019 as a way to bring joy into her life and combat depression. She started with dipped berries, candy-coated fruit and homemade gummy bears before expanding into baked goods.  

As she prepared to take the stage, Gabbie remembers thinking, “I cannot be scared because this is my brand, you know? My confidence grew over time, but I was really excited.”

On stage Gabbie pitched her business to the Shark Tank judges who were impressed by the steps she had already taken to establish her company. She won first place and $3,000 worth of investor money.  

After the competition, one of the Sharks introduced Gabbie to a kitchen space to run her business out of. She was also connected with Michaela’s Meals as a mentor to help her expand her reach and hone her skills.
