Meet Jessica Friesen!
Just in Time for Foster Youth is proud to announce Jessica Friesen as a new board member. In addition to being a volunteer coach within the Just in Time community, Jessica serves as Assistant Vice President, Commercial Associate at Bank of America. Both Jessica and Bank of America have been consistent supporters of the Just in Time mission. Jessica brings experience in sales, project, and relationship management to the Just in Time board. Jessica received her MBA from San Diego State University. In her free time, she is an avid beach volleyball player.
Meet Wendy McKinney!
A trusted leader in nonprofit and for-profit business, Wendy McKinney has mastered how to prioritize work, family and a life of service. As the former Chief Development Officer for the American Red Cross and the San Diego History Center, and former Development Director for the Neighborhood House Association, she raised millions to benefit the San Diego region. As a former Financial Services Executive for AIG, she successfully led the sales and marketing team. For over 30 years, she has trained hundreds in leadership through conferences, retreats and motivational speaking. McKinney earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from UCLA and a Non-Profit Executive Leadership Certification from the University of Michigan. She and her husband live in San Diego, CA where they co-pastor a thriving local Christian ministry. Wendy and her husband Pastor George have three adult children.

Recently, Congresswoman Sara Jacobs of the 53rd District of California dropped by the Just in Time office to learn about the JIT mission and the challenges facing transition age foster youth in San Diego! We appreciate the Congresswoman taking time to do a deeper dive into the lack of support and services for foster youth turning 18!
