Volunteers Drive the Mission
Meet Mark Zuckerbrod, an extraordinary JIT volunteer coach!
Christine Whitlock, Samuel Brown, Mark Zuckerbrod at a 2022 Empower Party at Coasterra.
MARK ZUCKERBROD
Since 2021, Mark has been an active volunteer coach and facilitator for Just in Time’s Financial Fitness service. He connects regularly with three Just in Time youth whom he has been paired with through the service. Over time, he has provided advice and insight as they learn financial concepts to stabilize, build wealth and even start their own families.
Mark has a degree in History with an emphasis in Economics. His professional journey includes a stint on Wall Street before embracing a life of entrepreneurship. During college, he ran a tennis program where he was able to manage and mentor hundreds of teenagers and peers from all different backgrounds.
“One of the most gratifying things for me is when you see the light go on for someone because they suddenly understand a concept and watching them gain confidence that will help them achieve their long-term goals.”
Mark Zuckerbrod, JIT Volunteer Coach
Mark Zuckerbrod has always been passionate about sharing knowledge and connecting with others. Recently retired, he searched for opportunities to continue giving back to young people within the community. When he was referred to Just in Time by a friend, it was the perfect fit.
“I hadn’t had any experience with former foster youth, but I had spent many years mentoring, guiding, and coaching people in their 20s as they got started in business and life, and I have a strong interest and background in investing and money management.”
Mark Zuckerbrod, JIT Volunteer Coach
Mark brings unfailing energy and passion for financial literacy to each Financial Fitness workshop he attends or facilitates.
Just in Time is so happy to have volunteers like him.
“Volunteering at Just in Time is so rewarding for anybody who has the opportunity to do so. The young people who engage in JIT services gain so much from the knowledge and time investment of community volunteers.”
Mark Zuckerbrod, JIT Volunteer Coach
