We are here for you during these uncertain times! Our Youth Services and drop-in hours remain available throughout this unprecedented pandemic (with appropriate precautions), and we are here for every member of our community — participants, alumni, volunteers, investors, staff, and partners! We will get through this together.
In our FY2020 Annual Gratitude Report, we prove that “We’re Still Here” as we look back at an series of accomplishments that go higher than any aspirations we could have imagined, especially in a COVID-19 environment. It includes stories of youth whose exceptional courage and resilience continue to motivate us to do more. You’ll also catch up with JIT alumni and see powerful evidence of how nearly 800 Just in Time Volunteers, more than 150 Collaborations, and hundreds of dedicated Investors empowered 826 young people in transition to become Confident, Capable and Connected!
The lives of foster youth have been defined by disproportionate and systemic deficits in access to resources and essential support, beginning a pattern of marginalization that becomes the norm as they move into foster care. The current conversation about race and social justice is a powerful opportunity to examine our collective responsibility to change that pattern.
Just in Time’s solution is to create a true Community for those we serve, an entire support network of resources and relationships, that every young person needs to survive and thrive. Our passionate commitment is to model, in our actions and attitudes, our Core Values that reflect the essence of the lasting change we seek.
Our new NEXTjobs initiative is equipping youth with the skills and resources that will help them succeed in the modern job market! By encouraging a skills-based, growth mindset, our youth are gaining the tools they need to excel in the evolving employment ecosystem.
“The opportunities I have discovered are invaluable and the support I have received, and am continuing to receive, is phenomenal.”

Help break the cycle of foster care by making an investment in the futures of the youth we serve. We offer many ways to give!
JIT’s mission is to engage a caring community to help transition age foster youth achieve self-sufficiency and well-being.
We envision a future in which every youth leaving the foster care system has a community of caring adults waiting for them after 18. We believe consistent, long-term help from the heart is the foundation for the success of our youth so they can thrive and enjoy productive, satisfying lives.
