History was made in the San Diego region when an advocacy and empowerment group of former foster youth came together to envision a future where all individuals with lived experience have ownership over definitions, dialogue and decisions that impact their lives. JIT’s Associate Director Simone Hidds-Monroe who leads the Foster Alumni & Youth Empowerment Subcommittee known as FAYCES also co-facilitated the retreat.  She shared the  purpose of FAYCES with KUSI News.
