Just In Time’s Newly Published Book is Featured on ABC 10 News

by | Apr 5, 2023 | IN THE NEWS

Channel 10 recently visited Just in Time’s Mission Valley office to interview Caitlin Radigan and Irving Chavez – two of eight co-authors of Just in Time’s recently published book “Life Changing Choices: The 7 Essential Choices at the Heart of Transformational Change For Foster Youth and Your Community.”  View Full News Article: https://www.10news.com/news/local-news/san-diego-news/san-diego-nonprofit-writes-book-serving-foster-youth

The book is a collaborative effort co-authored by those with lived-experience within the foster care system. The book offers a “why do” challenge to the traditional approach to child welfare by offering a new way of thinking about the critical decisions that must be made to reverse the alarming outcomes of homelessness, hopelessness, and generational cycles of dependence that persist in our cities.
Woven throughout the book are stories of heartbreak and triumph, poignant examples of each essential Choice, and clear takeaways about why past efforts haven’t worked and what can be done in the future that will. Readers will learn about a new mental model that empowers them to bring about transformative change for children and young adults within their own communities.
