World Mental Health Day: Just in Time on KUSI
Supporting Foster Youth with Just in Time Wellness Services
October 10th marks World Mental Health Day, a global event dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues and promoting resources that support well-being. For many, mental health challenges can feel isolating, but for transition age foster youth, the journey toward emotional stability can be even more complex. That’s why Just in Time for steps in, providing crucial support to help foster youth transition into healthy adulthood.
At JIT, the focus is on holistic wellness, recognizing that mental health is deeply connected to emotional, social, and even financial well-being. Our Wellness Services are designed to address the unique challenges that former foster youth face. These services include free therapy from licensed clinicians, workshops on nutrition, mindfulness, play and healthy relationships. Most importantly, we connect youth to meaningful connections to volunteer coaches and lived experience peers.
