“My husband Mick and I attended the Walk the Talk celebration and immediately saw the needs that Just in Time was very effectively fulfilling for the foster youth who were bounced out of the state system. Because JIT offers a personal connection to individual young adults, my experience as a volunteer allowed me to see the benefits of JIT’s services, both for my personal ‘coachee’ and the entire cohort. And I find I learn so much from the diligence and determination exhibited by Spenscer and all the young people I am privileged to know through JIT. To see the participants’ devotion to improving their lives and tapping into JIT’s staff and coaches is heartwarming. It’s shown me the necessity for people like me who have the resources and time to share the knowledge and experience that we imparted to our own children. It takes a village. Why would we NOT help to make our community stronger and healthier? Financially, Mick and I can see how our donations directly and efficiently impact all the young adults who plug into JIT. It is an easy donation. JIT is remarkably well run– but it is a sincere heart and concern for the long-term growth of all their participants that sets this organization apart from so many.”
